CNO Financial Group’s Worksite Division is hiring a Sr Staff Accountant for accounting and reporting responsibilities for general accounting type activities, reconciling general ledger accounts, balancing financial systems, and maintaining accurate records.
This is your opportunity oversee communications with internal and external customers, assists with audit requests, researches out of balances and other general ledger responsibilities.
As a Sr Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Perform accounting functions in accordance with monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances.
Respond to escalated inquiries from internal/external customers.
Prepare, distribute and process accounting transactions on a daily & monthly basis.
Perform testing procedures and gather documentation for projects.
Prepare information for internal/external audits.
The Sr Staff Accountant position is well-suited for you if you:

Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or eight years of equivalent work experience.
Three years of work-related experience.
Prior accounting experience in an accounting shared service environment is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Prior experience with sales commission calculations preferred.

Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week.
