CNO Financial Group Data Analyst-Remote in Central or Eastern Time Zone in Chicago, Illinois

CNO is seeking a Data Analyst to function as a key player to ensure data accuracy for client facing reports & internal applications. The role will coordinate with Account Managers and Configuration roles to develop and fix carrier, payroll, and other ad hoc reports based on client/carrier requirements using bSwift and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

As a Data Analyst your responsibilities will include:

  • Create insurance carrier and payroll files using bSwift and SSMS.

  • Ensure timely delivery of payroll and vendor files.

  • Create monthly Rewards and First Time Caller Reports using SSMS and Crystal Report.

  • Create stored procedures to clean and normalize census data based on business requirements.

  • Coordinate with Account Managers, insurance companies, and clients to gather file specifications.

  • Manage ETL processes to ensure SSIS packages and SQL queries are working accordingly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - Account Managers and Solutions Architect to analyze and fix configuration/data issues.

  • Identify data error trends to implement automation and process improvements.

  • Attend meetings with other departments to provide recommendations to improve overall data and client implementation processes.

  • Serve as a resource to Data Support roles as needed.

The Data Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Know SQL code and how the data output translates to client deliverables. Knowledge of ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading).

  • Utilize Crystal Reports

  • Have mastered Excel skills such as VLOOKUP and IF STATEMENTS. S

  • Demonstrate solid organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Solove problems and resolve data issues.

  • Combine data from multiple sources when needed for the purpose of data analytics

  • Self-motivate and adapt to change.

  • Can travel 3 to 4 times a year.

  • Comfortable with working overtime seasonally and with minimal notice.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 6 years of data analytics experience.

  • 3 years of experience with MSSQL

  • Experience with ETL processes.

  • Previous experience with bSwift or other benefits administration system is preferred.

CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022, and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
