CNO Financial Group BLS/AS Technology Manager, REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Chicago, Illinois

Banker’s Life Securities is hiring a BLS/AS Technology Manager to provide technology leadership and support for the broker/dealer and registered investment advisor. This role will manage technology aspects of the BLS and BLAS platforms and will include overseeing externally sourced vendor relationships for delivering updates, performance management, maintenance, simplification and decommission projects. This will be a cross-functional role, intersecting with other CNO teams and will require the ability to negotiate priorities and deliver on commitments.

As a BLS/AS Technology Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all outsourced technology relationships.

  • Lead project level business case development, justification, project approval & funding under the direction of COO.

  • Lead scoping and projects establishment including prioritization for scoping efforts and targeted platforms. Establish project budgets, initial timelines and scope.

  • Program manage key BLS and BLAS project deployments across internal BLS and BLAS functions (Operations, Compliance, Business Development, and Finance).

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipates and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.

  • Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

The BLS/AS Technology Manager position is well-suited for you if you have:

  • Excellent communication skills; both orally and in writing, demonstrating an ability to communicate to a wide spectrum of cross-functional team members

  • Knowledge of configuration and integration capabilities among vendors

  • Experience in SQL querying and are capable of creating custom asset reports

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to lead large scale projects

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Business-related field or 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience with vendor applications used in the financial services industry

  • Experience delivering on key IT implementation projects that support the services strategic roadmaps on-time, on-budget and with the highest quality

  • Experience with Disaster Recovery/Business Community planning and support

  • Experience supporting virtual desktops in a VMWare/VDI environment

What will set you apart:

  • Experience with Client Relationship Management platforms

  • Knowledge of Database managements

  • Experience with Broker Dealers and Registered Investment Advisory firms

  • Solid experience and track record of successful system implementations utilizing multiple project management methodologies, tools and techniques

  • Experience in leading teams through the formulation and execution of program plans, strategies and functions

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and is pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
