CNO Financial Group’s Actuarial Department is hiring an Actuary Product Management to support Product Management efforts for CNO, including involvement in product portfolio development and maintenance activities. This role is also expected to provide product knowledge to various departments across the enterprise.
This is your opportunity lead and develop a team of actuarial staff.
As an Actuary Product Management , your responsibilities will include:
Develop, file and manage Medicare Supplement and Supplemental Health filings.
Support life/health/annuity product development efforts.
Assist in review and management of inforce business.
Prepare and interpret data for presentation to senior audiences.
Develop and publish reports and studies.
Support analysis of competitor products and practices.
Awareness and application of current regulatory developments and standard actuarial practices.
Provide product expertise to business segments and other internal customers.
May manage junior actuarial staff (including establishing goals, development plans, performance, and salary management).
Pursue successful completion of actuarial exams as appropriate.
The Actuary Product Management position is well-suited for you if you:
Have a working knowledge of health insurance products and regulations, Medicare Supplement and/or Supplemental Health a plus.
Are proficient with Excel and familiarity with common business software preferred.
General understanding of programming languages or actuarial modeling software a plus.
Possess strong problem solving and communication skills.
Thrive in uncertain situations.
Have a high attention to detail.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
Five years of related work experience in health products
ASA Designation

Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
Direct or indirect people leadership
Medicare rate filing with recommendations for rate increases
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and is pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
