CNO Financial Group Sr Developer - Sitecore, REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Carmel, Indiana

CNO Financial Group’s IT Business unit is hiring a Sr. Developer-Sitecore to primarily be self-directed and will code at a Senior engineer level, teach junior developers, debug defects and find acceptable resolutions to issues that arise. The Sr. Developer performs sophisticated and advanced programming tasks, writes functional specifications for large features and new functionality for our Sitecore applications. The Sr. Developer provides support for developers and partners with other developers operating in a high accountability and delivery culture. This role must be a complex problem solver with the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.

As a Sr. Developer-Sitecore, your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a key developer and SME for Sitecore applications

  • Maintain proficient Sitecore knowledge as well as solid grasp of non-Sitecore development principles

  • Understand the business functions that our Sitecore apps support

  • Build application design documentation

  • Train and supporting new developers

  • Interact with our business partners to support key projects

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to identify application improvement opportunities

  • Act upon opportunities to eliminate technical debt

  • Resolve urgent issues and ad-hoc tasks related to Sitecore applications

The Sr. Developer-Sitecore position is well-suited for you if you have:

  • Prior experience working with Sitecore applications

  • Supported developers in your prior work experience

  • Supported multiple projects simultaneously

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field, or 8 years of relevant work experience

  • 5 or more years of relevant development experience

  • Demonstrated ability working on a Scrum Team and experience with JSS, Helix and established Sitecore implementation methodologies

  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts

  • Expert development experience using Microsoft .NET, C#, Net/MVC , HTML5 with Bootstrap, JavaScript, and REACT

  • Sitecore certifications 9.0+, preferred

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
