CNO Financial Group Lead ServiceNow Engineer-REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Carmel, Indiana

CNO Financial Group’s IT unit is hiring a Lead ServiceNow Engineer who is responsible for complex design, formulation and engineering of solutions implemented using the ServiceNow portfolio of products. This includes but is not limited to IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Security Operations, Software Asset Management, and their related ITIL-based sub-functions and tools in the ServiceNow Platform. This role will interact closely with the IT and business requestor groups which leverage the ServiceNow infrastructure and will also be responsible for defining technology roadmaps that detail the implementation of initiatives to enhance a secured & scalable technology environment, as well as developing plans for the ongoing support and governance of the solutions. The lead will guide multiple integrators and managed services partners to ensure deployments initiated by multiple departments are deployed concurrently and designed and implemented to maximize results.

As a Lead ServiceNow Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitates improved delivery of proposed solutions, by identification and documentation of technical and architecture technology requirements to be executed by our third-party partners in a timely, cost effective, and integrated fashion.

  • Collaborates with implementation teams to appropriately engineer or assess and review the architectural implementation of systems and projects to ensure conformance with defined standards.

  • Designs and recommends Metrics and Reporting, ensuring process designs facilitate appropriate process governance.

  • Analyzes IT business drivers to determine corresponding engineering impact and any challenges to architecture.

  • Assists in the development of technical roadmaps & evolution of the in-scope infrastructure from current to future state.

  • Helps design and participate in the implementation of an ServiceNow architecture based on the organization’s strategies.

  • In collaboration with architects and other stakeholders, develops, documents, and presents a roadmap for the evolution of ServiceNow-supported processes and tools from current state to future state.

  • Leads and reviews complex implementations of all solutions, ensuring conformance with ServiceNow defined best practices and CNO Financial Group IT strategy.

  • Collaborates with business partners, software engineers, technology and operations leadership and provides significant input into ServiceNow platform strategy & roadmap in alignment with broader Technology Services’ strategy and desired business outcomes.

  • Works with 3rd party vendors and the Managed Services development & support team to engineer and implement ServiceNow modules and any related IT Service Management solutions, working with applicable architects.

The Lead ServiceNow Engineer position is well-suited for you if you have:

  • Several years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions in two to four of the following disciplines: Network Administration, Server OS Administration, Solution Architecture, Data Center Architecture, Database Administration, Middleware Administration, End User Computing Administration, and CyberSecurity

  • Proven ability to design and engineer ServiceNow solutions, using the base platform as well as other licensed modules

  • Proven and demonstrated ability to design an effective CMDB which is foundational for the platform

  • High level of communication and diplomacy skills to direct, persuade, and influence others, particularly at senior levels within the function

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related computing major required, or equivalent experience

  • Strong experience with ServiceNow, is required.

  • Four years of related experience working in the ServiceNow platform.

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSM) required, additional ones preferred. As a foundational part of ServiceNow, ITSM certification(s) are preferred.

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and is pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
