CNO Financial Group Lead ServiceNow Architect or Engineer, REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Carmel, Indiana
CNO Financial Group’s IT unit is hiring a Lead ServiceNow Engineer/Architect who is responsible for the design, formulation, and subsequent engineering and implementation of solutions using the ServiceNow portfolio of products. This includes IT Service Management, IT Operations Management (Event Management), Security Operations, Software Asset Management, and their related ITIL-based sub-functions and tools in the Now Platform. This role interacts closely with the IT and business requestor groups which demonstrate the ServiceNow infrastructure and will be responsible for defining technology roadmaps that detail the implementation of initiatives to improve a secured & scalable technology environment as well as developing plans for the ongoing support and governance of the solutions. As a key technical and process guide the Engineer/Architect works with much authority and autonomy on assignments requiring technical design complexity and coordination. The Lead ServiceNow Engineer/Architect will guide multiple integrators and Managed Services partners to ensure deployments initiated by multiple departments and deployed concurrently are designed and implemented to enhance results.

As a Lead ServiceNow Engineer/Architect, your responsibilities will include:
Solves implementation challenges while encouraging alignment to architectural and the Technology Services organizational standards.
Designs and recommends Metrics and Reporting, ensuring process designs facilitate appropriate process governance.
Analyzes IT business drivers to determine corresponding engineering impact and any challenges to architecture.
Reviews technology industry and market trends and figures out their potential benefit to the enterprise.
Recommends industry standard processes to meet the needs of the business with respect to scalability and performance. Verifies compliance with all technical requirements.
Adheres to infrastructure guidelines, design patterns, and standards as determined and set into policy.
Assists in the development of technical roadmaps & evolution of the in-scope infrastructure from current to future state.
Helps craft and participate in the implementation of ServiceNow architecture based on the organization’s strategies.
Works with 3rd party vendors and the Managed Services development & support team to engineer and implement ServiceNow modules and any related IT Service Management solutions, working with applicable architects.
The Lead ServiceNow Engineer/Architect position is well-suited for you if you have:
Several years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure solutions in two to four of the following disciplines: Network Administration, Server OS Administration, Solution Architecture, Data Center Architecture, Database Administration, Middleware Administration, End User Computing Administration, and CyberSecurity
Demonstrate ability to design and engineer ServiceNow solutions, using the base platform as well as other licensed modules
Validated and demonstrated ability to design an effective CMDB which is foundational for the platform
High level of communication and tact to direct, persuade, and influence others, particularly at senior levels within the function
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related computing major required, or equivalent experience
Solid experience with ServiceNow, is required. Typically, Engineer has at least 5 years of related experience working in the ServiceNow platform, with some experience beyond the traditional ITSM modules, but fewer years may be acceptable if experience includes working with contending tool suits.
Four years of related experience working in the ServiceNow platform.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSM) required; additional ones preferred. As a foundational part of ServiceNow, ITSM certification(s) are preferred.
What will set you apart:
Industry related (Financial/Insurance) certifications are a plus
Experience designing and implementing solutions covering multiple application or infrastructure disciplines, demonstrating skills and knowledge needed to work with other disciplines to take advantage of the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform
Niche knowledge of multiple diverse Infrastructure or technical design areas and in-depth understanding of Infrastructure methodologies and technologies
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and is pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60 mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
