CNO Financial Group Lead Developer-Sitecore in Carmel, Indiana
CNO Financial Group’s IT Business unit is hiring a Lead Developer-Sitecore for our Sitecore platform to be accountable for team workflow coordination, understand the business value of the product, resolve technical risk and develop a long-term product vision. This role will perform complex and advanced sophisticated tasks, signing off on large features, writing functional specifications for large features across all internal and external applications. The Dev Lead provides leadership support for developers and partners with other leads operating in a high accountability and delivery culture.

As a Lead Developer-Sitecore, your responsibilities will include:
Provide direction on advanced capabilities of all components of the product.
Be the lead seasoned and technical specialist affecting design, quality and timeline.
Build Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Direct training for new developers.
Oversee the work of developers on the team. Perform code reviews.
Lead internal and external interactions with clients.
Implement and promote code quality standards and eliminate duplications.
Provide guidance on (SOP’s) for the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and DevOps process
Adjust/Amend technical scope changes based on business requirements on projects.
The Lead Developer-Sitecore position is well-suited for you if you:
Guided a team to develop complex technical solutions including providing guidance on overall code architecture, and developing custom solutions
Experience guiding junior developers in all aspects of the SDLC process
Provided technology solutions to complex problems
Demonstrate ability to take charge of the team and coordinate workflow to consistently produce business value
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field, or 8 years of meaningful experience
Eight years of work experience with Sitecore 9.0+ and Sitecore upgrades required
Experience with Cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google, preferred
Demonstrated ability working on a Scrum Team, leading a team of offshore and onshore developers and experience with JSS, Helix and established Sitecore implementation methodologies
Proven experience using Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA)
Sitecore Certification 9.0+, required
What will set you apart:
Prior working experience in Insurance field
Familiarity or work experience with DevOps concepts
Development experience using Microsoft .NET, C#, Net/MVC , HTML5 with Bootstrap and JavaScript
Strong leadership skills, preferably a lean-agile leader – respectful, passionate & open-minded
Previous experience as a Senior Engineer or leading a team
Shown ability to work in a team environment
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and is pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
