CNO Financial Group IT Process Improvement Consultant, REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Carmel, Indiana

CNO Financial Group’s IT Business unit is hiring an IT Process Improvement Consultant to drive operational excellence to achieve Technology Happiness. The IT Process Improvement Consultant will be accountable for establishing and maintaining IT process documentation, measuring performance across the operational value stream, and driving experimentation and efficiency across the IT organization.

As an IT Process Improvement Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrating process improvement standards to independently define and implement metrics and measurements to supervise and improve IT performance.

  • Act as point of contact between different departments within IT and relevant third parties to understand successes and process constraints to establish/recommend improvement priorities.

  • Administer, implement, and govern IT Processes and IT standards.

  • Partner with team members to understand gaps and improvement opportunities that accelerate realization of business objectives.

  • Coach, consult, and mentor teams on delivery approaches and the use of techniques to deliver results.

The IT Process Improvement Consultant position is well-suited for you if you have:

  • Defined IT scorecards for internal and external collaborators to provide meaningful status of IT performance

  • Presented information (metrics, scorecards, improvement plans) for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback, and ensuring adherence to established processes

  • Proven organizational and knowledge documentation skills

  • Diligent attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as a consultative approach, to tackle complex problems

  • Customer facing experience and presentation skills with leadership, key partners, and service providers

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or 8 years of work experience as an equivalent

  • Five years of IT analysis, process improvement and/or project management experience

  • Demonstrated experience using data to drive business decisions

What will set you apart:

  • Solid understanding of IT operations including software development lifecycle, IT Service Management, and Agile practices

  • Proven working knowledge of lean and other industry leading methodologies, approaches, tools and techniques

  • Solid ability to define and establish metrics and methods for governing process alignment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to optimally convey ideas, issues, and status in both technical and non-technical terms to partners and leadership

  • Ability to establish relationships at all levels

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022 and is pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
