CNO Financial Group IT Asset Mgmt Manager, Hybrid-Carmel, IN in Carmel, Indiana
CNO Financial Group’s IT business unit is hiring an IT Asset Mgmt Manager to be responsible for the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the IT organization. This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software license and/or hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and to mitigate risk to the technology environment. It also includes monitoring deployed assets to ensure that only authorized assets are deployed. The Asset Manager will coordinate IT budget activities to ensure all required assets are budgeted and managed from procurement through disposal. The Asset Manager will also take a holistic view of IT financials to help identify opportunities for expense reduction or redistribution of funds.
As an IT Asset Mgmt Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Manage IT asset inventory utilizing best practice software asset management (SAM), hardware asset management (HAM) and IT asset disposition (ITAD) processes and tools across the full range of digital technology assets
Maintain automated IT asset inventory capability
Maintain asset information in CMDB
Gather and analyze data to track lifecycle, maintenance and decommissioning of IT assets
Track license utilization; perform license audits; respond to license validation requests; track remedial actions
Report IT Asset Management metrics, including license compliance, budget status, and inventory
Develop procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization
Analyze IT spend to identify opportunities to reduce or redistribute to higher-value activities
Act as a financial steward for the IT organization
The IT Asset Mgmt Manager position is well-suited for you if you:
Have a solid understanding of software license models and delivery models
Possess working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite and other business-related software
Understand and have worked with budgets
Have an understanding of IT Asset management principles and practices
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s Degree; preference in computer science, management information systems, or related field; or 8 years of relevant work experience
Five years of experience in IT
A proven track record of communicating with all levels of an IT organization
What will set you apart:
Preferred work experience specifically in IT asset management
Prior work with IT budgets, related to asset management

Associates will need to live within, or be willing to relocate, within a 60 mile radius of the Carmel, IN corporate office, and need to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week.
