CNO Financial Group Data Analyst II - REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Carmel, Indiana
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Data Analyst II to translate data and make sound business decisions. The Data Analyst II is responsible for supporting the overall, ongoing assessment of key enterprise-wide distribution performance metrics for both the consumer and worksite divisions. The analyst is expected to independently develop sophisticated queries for reporting and analytical methods to report on key metrics, identify problem areas, and develop possible solutions and improvements. Areas of research and analytics are focused on all lines of business sold by all brands as well as field performance (e.g., sales, recruiting, retention, field compensation, etc.). Analyses are often centered on comparing actual results to expected/planned results for sales targets as well as understanding the financial impact of various sales and recruiting initiatives.
This is your opportunity to be a part of the General Sales group were your time will be dedicated to data validation to ensure the integrity of the reporting and analytics is completed correctly. The analyst is encouraged to use the results of their analyses to identify process improvement, drive business decisions, and communicate (verbally & in writing) these results to senior management and agency field management.
As a Data Analyst II your responsibilities will include:
Developingsales and recruiting key metric reporting and report on the drivers of deviations from plan. This process involves sales performance, agent recruiting and retention measurement, persistency experience and agency bonus programs.
The studysales patterns to detect significant trends, identify adverse changes in agent/customer behavior and assist in developing sales campaign strategies and the development of sales targets.
Providing concrete information and analysis for improving sales performance.
Modeling various bonus programs and validate bonus payments for accuracy.
Partnering with Finance to validate outgoing bonus payments to ensure expenses were accrued accurately.
Identifying gaps in departments’ performances and assist in the development of initiatives to address these gaps.
Implementing statistically valid pilot teststo resolve the efficiency of various sales and field initiatives.
To implement and maintain forecasting modelsto project month-end, quarter-end and year-end results.
Maintaining financial analysesincluding cost benefit analyses, cost estimates, and decision support analyses, that is designed to provide management with the financial impact information they need to make business decisions.
Supporting management with various reporting and ad hoc analyses designed to build clarity, improve efficiency and/or effectiveness of Bankers Life and PMA field performance for both consumer and worksite divisions
Collaborate on various projects with internal CNO employees and outside vendors as needed.
The Data Analyst II position is well-suited for you if you:
Have intermediate to advancedtechnical skills including Business Objects (or similar), Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Have strongindependent critical thinking skills.
Have strongverbal and written communication skills as it relates to presenting complex, fact-based analyses.
Strongly interested in data mining, reporting, process improvement and analytics.
Must be detailed oriented.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative field.
4+ years of professional data analysis work experience.
Ability and willingness to work independently and part of a team.
What will set you apart:
Quantitative or technical field preferred.
Software certifications (Tableau, Excel, Alteryx, etc.) preferred but not required.
Life & Health Insurance background preferred and/or experience working with a captive agency sales force.
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
