CNO Financial Group Business Analyst, Sales Technology - Remote in Central or Eastern TimeZone in Carmel, Indiana

CNO’s worksite division, Optavise, is seeking a Business Analyst, Sales Technology to participate in moderate to complex projects to define business requirements and analyze business problems or opportunities. This role collaborates with systems analysts to evaluate business systems requirements. Business Analysts also assist project manager on high priority projects on tasks involving business analysis, process design, and problem determination and resolution. Additionally, they prepare communications and make presentations on business processes and business-related analysis efforts.

As a Business Analyst, Sales Technology your responsibilities will include:

  • Partners with Project Manager on high priority projects to drive the projects to successful conclusion assisting as needed.

  • Serves as a liaison between business and IT, developing and maintaining knowledge of customer's business.

  • Serves as a primary subject matter expert (SME) on one or more applications.

  • Provides estimations for Business Requirements gathering and UAT Testing

  • Holds requirements gathering sessions, capturing meeting minutes, following up on action items, reporting project status, and ownership of project documentation

  • Analyzes, identifies and writes detailed description of user requirements, program functions, and tasks required to define or modify sales technology software

  • Creates and executes software test strategies and test plans. Tracks results and logs issues and process deviations, as well as ensures proper disposition and resolution of open issues.

  • Creates and maintains Sales Technical guides

  • Analyzes active issues to assess impact to training, documentation, etc.

  • Identifies, reports, and documents risks associated with testing and ensures their proper mitigation.

  • Maintaining risks and issues log and actively managing the mitigation strategies.

The Business Analyst, Sales Technology position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems.

  • Research and resolve production support issues.

  • Communicate testing issues and results to ADL/SDL, Project Manager, and/or Sponsor

  • Recommend steps to resolve issues based on research and investigation.

  • Facilitate business requirements gathering and user acceptance test meeting

  • Coordinate and conduct training needs based on system enhancements or implementations.

  • Exhibit strong business knowledge and builds strong customer relationships

  • Develop detailed business requirements documents for new and existing systems.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • BA/BS in business, computer science, or related field, or 8 years of relevant experience as an equivalent.

  • Familiarity with the process of gathering business requirements and formulating technical solutions preferred. (Internship or project based accepted.)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools - MS Office suite

  • Demonstrated proficiency with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).

CNO Financial Group offices reopened in April 2022, and we will be pursuing a hybrid working model. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
