Salary Range : $102,600 - $154,000 Annual

The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location. This position is bonus eligible.

CNO Financial Group is hiring an Actuary, Traditional Life Valuation to manage valuation and projection activities for the Traditional Life block of business.

As an Actuary, Traditional Life Valuation your responsibilities will include:

• Providing and explaining quarterly and annual GAAP, SAP and tax valuations for Traditional Life block of business

• Assisting in researching and performing senior level analysis on earnings

• Providing explanations of variances of actual results to Plan

• Preparing and participating in delivery of GAAP earnings presentations to senior management

• Preparing relevant annual statement exhibits and schedules

• Assisting in Loss Recognition Testing and preparing and participating in delivering LRT presentations to senior management

• Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley directives

• Appropriateness of experience assumptions

• Validity and reasonableness of emerging experience and trends

The Actuary, Traditional Life Valuation position is well-suited for you if you:

• Are able to work well within a team

• Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrate strong presentation skills

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, or a related field

• ASA designation

• 5 years of actuarial experience

What will set you apart:

• FSA or Member of the American Academy of Actuaries

• Experience with traditional life products or valuation

• Experience with PolySystems, SAS or SQL

• Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
