CNO Financial Group Actuary Traditional Life Valuation REMOTE from any US based location in central or eastern time zones in Carmel, Indiana
CNO Financial Group’s Actuarial Department is hiring an Actuary Traditional Life Valuation to manage valuation and reporting activities for traditional life insurance.
This is your opportunity automate new reporting analysis and control capabilities following the implementation of LDTI valuation in the first quarter of 2023.
As an Actuary Traditional Life Valuation, your responsibilities will include:
Provide and explain quarterly and annual LDTI GAAP, statutory and tax valuations for traditional life insurance, including statutory Principle-based Reserving.
Assist in researching and performing senior level analysis on earnings. Provide explanations of variances of actual results to the business plan.
Prepare and participate in delivery of GAAP earnings presentations to senior management.
Prepare relevant annual statement exhibits and schedules.
Support Sarbanes-Oxley and Model Audit control directives.
Analyze / validate experience study results and recommend assumption updates.
The Actuary Traditional Life Valuation, position is well-suited for you if you:
Work well within a team and independently.
Are a fantastic communicator both written and verbal.
Possess strong presentation skills.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math or related fields required.
ASA designation required.
At least five years of experience within the actuarial field.
What will set you apart:
FSA designation.
Member of the American Academy of Actuaries preferred.
Five years of experience with life products and/or valuation preferred.
Experience with PolySystem’s software, SQL, SAS, and other programming software preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and are encouraged to come into the office at least twice per month.
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
