CNO Financial Group Senior Broker Development Consultant - Remote in Texas in Beaumont, Texas
CNO Financial Group’s Worksite unit, Optavise, is hiring a Senior Broker Development Consultant to drive partnerships and sales of insurance, enrollment services, benefits technology and other services through employee benefits brokers and their clients. In this role, you will help design, develop, and deliver a new Broker Training Curriculum and Broker Certification Program for Optavise Career Agents. This role will support Optavise agents in Texas.
We are seeking someone to ensure a consistent, high-growth experiences for our broker partners. You’ll troubleshoot issues when they arise, acting as the high-touch home office liaison, for the distribution partner. We want creative builders who love to win and collaborate with colleagues and are also comfortable with peer mentoring and development responsibilities working with less experienced Broker Consultants. The Senior Broker Development Consultant will research to identify local brokers who would value the enrollment and engagement services we provide. They then partner with Optavise Agents and State Managers to deliver enrollment support to local brokers

As a Senior Broker Development Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
Partner to lead the design and delivery of the Broker Training and Certification Programs for colleagues and our Career Agents.
Help establish and maintain systematic tracking of new broker outreach using CRM and other tools to create a broker repository
Collaborate with internal departments to craft and manage sales field and broker-facing communications to support ongoing programs, such as incentives and trips
Drive sales with existing Partners and Producer by identification of new or ongoing gaps in their business model that can be filled with Optavise solutions: value adds, product, technology, process, etc.
Strategize with producers to identify new group opportunities and create customized Optavise solutions.
Facilitate quoting/New Business/Underwriting/Enrollment setup for individual business and non-specialty cases.
Create tailored internal and in-field training to maximize adoption of new products/services, technology & compliance practices. Serve as sales liaison for Partners, Top Producers and Key Agents in assigned territory.
Conduct trend and data analysis for territory in coordination with sales director and develop/implement action plans to improve results, such as: (A) Analyze sales results, retention and key producer productivity to identify any upward/downward movement of Partners; develops solutions for downward trends; (B) Monitor business persistency reporting – flag any potential problem results and take action to improve
Develop recruiting strategy and action plans for annual territory objectives, coordinated with sales director(s).
Develop and manage territory recruiting pipeline, including sourcing leads (personally and via Sales Development) and driving new recruits to production; includes outbound calls, contracting and in-field recruiting/training meetings.
Create and lead customized training and other required support to achieve new partner and producer growth targets.
The Senior Broker Development Consultant position is well-suited for you if you:
Identify and build relationships with small to medium sized employee benefits brokers, understanding their business, and how we might help them grow.
Court and acquire brokers and develop strong lasting relationships.
Possess in-depth knowledge of voluntary benefits sales and service.
Show a proven track record of skills in training, mentoring, and collaboration.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of relevant experience as an equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in Health & Financial Services Support; including sales, marketing and/or service operations; strategic growth project initiatives related to financial services business growth.
Active Health & Life insurance license OR the ability to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire
What will set you apart:
5+ years in voluntary worksite sales.
2+ years of sales management experience.
Fluency in both English and Spanish.
Professional designations such as LOMA.
Existing broker relationships that can be tapped immediately.
This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) will have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and work from home at least 3 days/week. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.
